YIMBYtown is coming to the South for the first time!

Join with hundreds of other individuals advocating for more affordable and abundant housing in their communities for networking and shared learning. Participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from the advocates behind the country’s biggest housing policy wins, share lessons learned from local and state campaigns and implementation, discuss organizing and communications best practices, and the critical intersections with community resilience, transportation and transit and economic development.

Previously convened in Boulder (2016), Oakland (2017), Boston (2018), Portland (2022), Austin (2024), New Haven (2025), and upcoming in Raleigh in November 2026, YIMBYtown is the national gathering of leaders involved in the pro-homes, “Yes In My Backyard” movement.

It’s a conference for grassroots community organizers, political leaders, educators, housing providers, and activists. Attendees will explore how to tackle exclusionary zoning and pass reforms for abundant housing as initiatives to address America’s overlapping challenges with housing affordability, mobility, homelessness, climate change, and racial inequality. YIMBYtown offers inspiration, tools, and a network for those working to advance abundant, affordable housing and sustainable development in cities across the United States and beyond.
